Safe Lifting and Rigging Operation

For safe lifting operation we have to look 6 elements and their safety:-

1. Lifting equipment safety:-
Lifting equipment must be in good condition+ Load tested + Certified


2. Lifting gears (tackle) safety:-
Lifting gears must be in good condition+ Load tested + Certified + Colour coded


3. Equipment operator safety:-
Operator must be experienced + Trained on particular equipment or machine + Certified


4. Rigger safety:-
Rigger must be experienced + Trained on particular equipment or job + Certified


5. Load safety:-
Load configuration


6. Site safety (Araea safety):-
Site conditions + Weather conditions + Ground Conditions + PTW + etc.

  1. These six elements and their safety are really important to pay attention to. The lifting equipment safety, lifting gears safety, the equipment operator safety, rigger safety, load safety, and site safety are all really important to pay attention to. That is why all of these things need to be taken care of before a job is taken care of. There are even places that they can get to all the proper equipment to do these certain things.

  2. I didn't know that the lifting equipment could manage that much weight all at once. I don't think I have seen anyone lift that much in one load, but now I know how they are able to lift the storage crates onto boats for shipping. I wonder what kind of certification they have to go through in order to operate that kind of machinery. http://www.slscranes.com.au/lifting-equipment/
